Vegan, sustainable and unique – Bridle "Cortica" made with cork

Products made of cork have long been available as a sustainable alternative to leather outside of equestrian sports. In equestrian sport, however, they are not so widespread. We want to change this from now on. As one of an equestrian company, we now offer vegan riding accessories made of cork. We want to leave a sustainable footprint and offer vegan horse lovers a great alternative to leather. The products have been developed and thoroughly tested for almost two years, constantly modified and adapted. The result is our sustainable and vegan collection “Cortica”, consisting of a bridle, reins, chaps and ankle boots. The bridle “Cortica” has an english noseband with flash and an anatomical headpiece. The latter and the nose straps are softly lined with faux leather. The bridle is adjustable on both sides and the noseband can be removed. The sparkling browband as well as the narrow beige strip along the nose strap are a great eye-catcher. Cork material – the vegan leather Sustainable & vegan As the bark of the cork oak, cork is a renewable, biodegradable raw material. The cork oak can grow over 300 years old and is peeled by hand about every 12 years during its life. This makes the tree more resilient and creates durable cork oak forests that prevent soil erosion, bind large amounts of CO2 and provide a very important ecosystem for many rare animals. Durable & Unique Cork material fabric, also called cork leather, is very tear-resistant, durable and water-repellent. The cork plates of the bark are bonded with an organic adhesive to form larger plates and cut thinly. Then they are put together like a jigsaw puzzle and applied to a fabric carrier material, sealed and can finally be further processed as cork fabric. Like leather, every cork fabric is a very special one-of-a-kind piece.
