• Full seat riding breeches for children are popular with dressage riders. Thanks to the extensive trim or silicone grip, the rider has significantly more grip on the entire seat.  
• Knee patch riding breeches for children are particularly popular among show jumpers, as they provide more freedom of movement. The trim or silicone grip is only on the knees, so that the rider can get out of the saddle easily when jumping and has a good grip in the right places.
• Thermal breeches & winter breeches to protect against the cold are particularly advantageous in winter. Children tend to get cold more quickly, or forget that they are cold. With lined winter breeches for children you will be on the safe side. Despite the inner lining, winter riding breeches do not restrict movement, unlike, for example, when thermal underwear is worn under normal riding breeches. 
• Jodhpurs for children have wider legs for more comfort and are especially suitable for Icelandic riders. However, flared Jodhpurs do not look good in riding boots or under chaps and can quickly chafe or lead to unpleasant pressure points. 
• Show breeches for children in classic white are of course also a must. Competition breeches are also available for small riders, either with knee patches or full grip. This way children can compete in their first shows in accordance with the rules.

Children grow quickly, so you might want to steer clear of the higher priced models. As with most clothing, the price is usually reflected in the quality and comfort of children's breeches. Above all, your child should feel comfortable in the breeches and be able to move without restriction. Elastic leg cuffs, for example, make breeches even more comfortable. Similarly, kids' riding leggings do not have a pinching button and zip on the waistband.
